Forest Love gift set

Our Forest Love gift set is for people who love the forest or love trees or love parks and who love the idea of staying connected to them.

The gift set holds one Whidbey Douglas fir body oil (great for relaxing a worrying spinning mind or light muscle relaxation) and one Whidbey Forest Kiss lip balm (has a very light woodsy scent from the local plants—Douglas fir, cottonwood buds, plantain leaf, and lemon balm—infused in olive oil) and one Forest Bathing soap (Whidbey Douglas fir, western red cedar, and wild rose petals). All from our Safety & Welcome emotional support family.

All offerings are made with plants ethically gathered or grown by us on and near Whidbey Island. We gather windfall tree branches after wind storms for our offerings. They come nestled within shredded wood, surrounded by our own dried botanicals, and are in a thick white gift box. We ship the gift box within a slightly larger box covered with evergreens.  

If you'd like to include a Gift Message inside the box, please leave your message in the Comments field as you order and we'll handwrite the message on a small card and tuck it into the box. If you're shipping gift sets to more than one location, you'll need to do them as separate transactions, because I am not currently tech-savvy enough to figure out how to do otherwise, and I likely never will be unless a miracle happens, which is possible but I'm not holding my breath. 

Locals, you can order online and choose Pickup at store at checkout to pick up here at Ritual Mischief and save on shipping. I'll email you to arrange a day and time for pick up at your convenience.

Shipping. We ship in the continental US via U.S.P.S. mail and priority mail. If everything goes well, shipping takes between 1 and 5 days. If the gift is for an important event, especially during the busy winter holidays season (November & December), it's best to allow 10 calendar days, because the postal system can get overwhelmed in places and during certain times of the year. If you're buying for Christmas, for example, we suggest ordering no later than December 16 to get the gift to someone in time for Christmas. It likely won't take that long, but we don't want to disappoint you if the post office decides to take its sweet time! Orders must be in by noon Pacific Standard Time to reach our post office that day.

Storage and life of the products: To extend the life of the soap bars, store them where they can dry quickly (like on a soap drainer or folded dry washcloth) after use and where they don't get regular spray from the faucet. Unused, the soaps will last a very long time, possibly even longer than you and me. All balms, salves, lotion bars and lip balms should be stored in cool, dry locations. Body oils are best within 12 months of purchase and lip balms are best within 12 months of purchase.   

Size: Of soap bars: The bars are roughly 4 ounces. Our soaps are made by hand, in small batches, and hand cut by cool women. We're not machines, people, nor do we aspire to be. Size of oil: 1 oz. Size of lip balms: 1 oz. 

Refills: If you're on Whidbey and can come to our herbal studio in Langley, we refill the body oil bottles here in person at an almost half price cost.

Packaging: See the Packaging page of this website for details. Soap packaging is made from recycled materials and is recyclable and also compostable. All balm, salve, lip balm, and lotion bar packaging is food safe, reusable, and may be recycled in some areas.
