Calendula, Rose, Yarrow, & Rose Hip soap

This bar holds so much heart, courage, & joy! It holds ethically gathered wild rosehips, wild and garden yarrow, garden calendula, and wild and garden rose petals infused into olive oil, plus we make and include a rose and calendula tea, plus we dry and hand-grind Whidbey rose petals (some we wild gathered on Whidbey and some from our own garden) for an extra dose of rose love. This versatile face soap (or hand or body soap if you prefer) lives in our Comfort & Support family because of yarrow's many traditional uses as a supporter of courage (physical, emotional, mental, spiritual), rose's long history of supporting humans in feeling loved and loving and like you belong, and calendula's tendency to support and prolong joy. They're also all great for skin, as long as you're not allergic to the plants themselves.

Insider tip: Lori likes this soap for when she’s sad or angry, as an after-crying soap for her face and an after- or during-anger or rage soap for her body. She sometimes uses it before difficult conversations. When she’s her well-rested and relaxed true self--which does happen now and then--she also sometimes gifts it to others ahead of difficult conversations.

There are so many days now when extra courage is needed, and these days, extra support with feeling loved and loving seems to always be needed too, by just about all of us. Lean on local yarrow and nearby roses and calendula in person when possible, when you or a loved one need a little wordless help feeling courageous, loved, loving, or returning to yourself--whether you do it via this soap or via the plants themselves, in person, or via teas or other preparations. Storage and life of the bar: To extend the life of the bar, store it where it can dry quickly after use and where it doesn't get regular water spray. Setting it on a folded washcloth or beautiful soap rest is a great idea.

Ingredients: Whidbey yarrow, wild rose hips, rose petals, and calendula flowers gathered by us and infused into an organic/trusted non-organic olive oil blend, plus organic coconut oil, Shea butter, castor oil, Whidbey rose petal & calendula distilled water tea, sodium hydroxide, sodium lactate, kaolin and rose clays, ground Whidbey rose petals, rose absolute essential oil (jojoba oil with rose essential oil in it).
